Braking, Not Breaking

This series is inspired by a season of life where my world and life was turned upside down.

I arrived here by spending time admiring the beauty of fall and embracing change. I’ve been drawn to the flowers/leaves and the new detail formed when they dry and break. One sunny day I took a peaceful walk around my garden, collected flowers and placed them in a jar.

Over time they loss life, but I found it calming to look at. Even though may have become weakened or on the verge of breaking, they still hold their own kind of beauty, and stand when held up.

I’m filled with joy when I reflect back on my wedding bouquet series; the happiness they represent, and intense bright bursts of colors. It’s a reminder to preserve the important things in life...even when the colors fade🧡
